Scene & Heard: A few days after my 30th birthday, I left Lucca, Italy and went to Paris. One day, I walked down the Avenue des Champs-Élysées with my Sony Walkman and headset listening to A Free Man in Paris by Joni Mitchell. I was a free man in Paris / I’d just walk out those doors / And wander / Down the Champs-Élysées.
