\n<\/a>Scene: David Hart at\u00a0Men\u2019s Day New York Fashion Week Fall\/Winter 2020.\u00a0Operating under the alias \u201cR.Mutt,\u201d a reference to Marcel Duchamp\u00a0who worked in ready-mades.\u00a0Similar to\u00a0Duchamp\u2019s Fountain<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0Bicycle Wheel<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0<\/i>he wanted to reinterpret things that exist\u00a0like\u00a0the pilot jacket, and the Western shirt instead\u00a0of\u00a0reinventing the wheel.
\nHart revisited his greatest hits which\u00a0meant taking a trip through his archives and\u00a0reinterpreting his favorites.\u00a0Among his\u00a0edited lineup of 11 looks, he spanned his focus across styles and decades. The groovy dude in bell-bottoms, \u201970s-inspired suede bomber, the urban cowboy in a piped shirt tied with a silk foulard, and the\u00a0executive at the office with a\u00a0slouchy pinstripe suit minus the stuffiness.\u00a0He mixes dapper with glam-rock,\u00a0precise tailoring with a retro-cool vibe, and baggy with slim proportions to give the collection just the right amount of attitude.
\nBeyond the archival references, Hart found other ways of presenting the familiar in a new light \u2014 a\u00a0camp shirt printed with duct-taped bananas was a nod to Maurizio Cattelan\u2019s notorious banana\u00a0Comedian<\/a>,\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0a two-tone cardigan that reminisces\u00a0college-prep.
\nThe presentation\u00a0opened with a golden camel suit embroidered with wildflowers on the lapels. Long hair on men has\u00a0come back and is trending. The earthy color palette was accented with pops of gold, red, and burgundy.
