Scene: Christmas bright, golden with wonder, and crystal clear light.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
NYC. Street walks. Style seen. Snap shots. Story tales. Documenting and commenting on personal style, fashion and culture.

Scene: White on white on white with metallic undertones and black accents, a touch of cream, a dash of colors, and textures at Sensation White, Barclay Center in Brooklyn. This was Sensation White’s 100th show, celebrating it’s global electronic dance culture, featuring pyrotechnic, light effects, and acrobatic performances all synchronized to House Music.
The Ocean of White. The venue was transformed into water worlds with numerous fountains continuously bursting to the beat of the music. The mysteries and beauty of the ocean suspended from the air flooded with color, thousands of revelers creating the motion of the ocean as they danced through out the night, to the sounds of five DJ’s including Fedde le Grand and Mr. White. Many were calling me the new Mr. White and mentioned they liked my style!

Scene & Heard: DJ Fedde le Grand sounds off with So Much Love in this video, an upbeat house track and dance floor shaker. 47 seconds into the song the party truly starts! Originally a smash in 2003, Fedde pumps up this classic to new heights. And, below is a remix by Deniz Koyu, taking you even higher!
Scene & Heard: Say Something, by indie duo A Great Big World performed with Christina Aguilera at the American Music Awards. The New York duo, Chad Vaccarino manning the keyboard, and vocalist Ian Axel sat at the grand piano accompanied by a string section at the awards. Aguilera had been inspired by the song, reaching out to the duo and asked them to duet.
An understated performance, simple and somber, at the event as well as in the video. “Say something, I’m giving up on you” crescendos with an emotional climax, exposes the tender side of Christina along with Ian’s ethereal voice. The video is moving. Christina in a minimalistic black dress with a natural look completes the softer side.
The song tells three stories. The ballad, inspired by heartbreak, struck a chord with audiences soaring to #1 on the iTunes pop and digital charts, and debut at the top of the Billboard Digital Songs chart.
A Great Big World, Ian and long time writing partner Chad met at NYU as students. Their album, Is There Anybody Out There releases in January.

Scene: Students on and off campus. Coming and going. A place to aspire, create, develop, discover, wander, believe or not. An attitude, a personal and a collective style, focused on individuality. Subtle and strong nuances. Style plays a significant part in society as a way to express oneself. Shuttling between classes, events, activities, and meeting at the library. Learn and live!

Scene & Heard: Hold on We’re Going Home recently released by Drake, featuring duo Majid Jordan. This single isn’t a Rap song. It’s nicely split between R&B and slow-motion deep house. An old school, new school vibe.

Scene: Walter King, my dad-in-law, was a WWII Army Air Force vet. Veterans Day is an official US holiday. World War One formally ended at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect.
In 1945, World War II veteran Raymond Weeks had the idea to expand Armistice Day to celebrate all veterans, not just those from WWI. Weeks led a delegation to General Dwight Eisenhower, who supported the idea. Congress amended this act on June 1, 1954, replacing “Armistice” with “Veterans,” and it has been known as Veterans Day since. Also to be remembered, Frank Tralongo, my godfather, who was an Army veteran in the Korean War, and all others who served. Thank you!
