Last Dance

DONNA SUMMER — R.I.P.

One of those songs from the Studio 54 days “Last Dance”.
I thought of including this song in my last post…

Grammy Award Winning Disco Legend

Donna Summer passed away Thursday, May 17, at the age
of 63. Summer, known for hits like “I Feel Love,” “Last Dance,”
“Hot Stuff” and “She Works Hard for the Money,” shot to fame
in the ’70s and was the winner of five Grammys over the course
of her career.

Shadow Days & Crew Love

JOHN MAYER — SHADOW DAYS

Tune: Just Released — Shadow Days Video
This new music video scene has John Mayer leaving behind the bright lights of the big city for a soul-searching road trip. Columbia Records has announced that Born and Raised, the next album from songwriter and musician John Mayer, will be released on May 22.
Mayer produced the new album with Don Was, who has worked with acts such as B.B. King and Bonnie Raitt. David Crosby and Graham Nash provide vocals on the title song Shadow Days, now available on iTunes. Other notable musicians joining Mayer on the album include keyboardist/pianist Chuck Leavell — who has worked with the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and The Allman Brothers Band — as well as previous collaborators Sean Hurley on bass and Aaron Sterling on drums.

It’s interesting when Mayer releases certain songs they hit a cord to the feelings I’m experiencing at that time. Could it be that we were born on the same day?

DRAKE x THE WEEKND x STAR SLINGER — CREW LOVE

Tune: Just Released — Crew Love
UK producer Star Slinger’s remix adds some breakbeats to Drake and Weeknd’s Crew Love. It gives a new scene to the original track with a dance driven beat.
Aubrey Drake Graham, who records under the mononym Drake, is a Canadian recording hip-hop artist and actor. Abel Tesfaye, better known by his stage name The Weeknd, is an R&B Canadian recording artist and record producer from Toronto.

This song inspires me to keep the beat and to get up and dance — I’m still not over the Studio 54 days!
