Scene and Heard: Roller Disco, Saturday night in Upstate NY at Skate Time for the 7th Annual Event with master of ceremonies Sean B Nutley! Silvers and golds glistened, accented with vivid colors and hues as the disco beat sang through the venue. The subtle sheen and luster of blacks shimmered. Denim, leopard, lace, and patterns too. Knee high socks with 70s basketball jerseys and shorts. City and country folks came together as happy people to roller skate and party with the sound of disco emanating. The night was bright for vibrant times. “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now.”

Then the After Party at Sean B Nutley’s place. DJ Robert (RC) rockin’ the beat outside in nature as the guests danced with fervor and fun. After party treats: Rams Valley LLC @ramsvalleyllc and The Catskill Cocktail Club @thecatskillscocktailclub. Drinks flowing all night long, and fresh hot and spicy BBQ from local farms satisfied and sustained the revelers.

Scene and Heard: The After Party and The Roller Skating Scene.

Scene: My new silver sneakers which I purchased to rock and wear to Roller Disco.
During the Studio 54 days I wanted silver shoes, but couldn’t find any. So, I bought a pair of shoes and spray painted them silver. I wore them to Studio 54 one night with my white paper jumpsuit and silver Pan Am belt, originally a seat belt, which I purchased at Fiorrucci on 59th Street.
After arriving home on several occasions I put my roller skates on and skated down Central Park West, across town, up Fifth Avenue, down Park and back home again. And, of course to work the morning after. Those certainly were the days!
Special thanks to Sean B Nutley @seanbnutley. Also, to Carrie Bono @carrieoninstyle and Kingston Weekender @kingstonweekender for the first reel which I edited. DJ playing “Blame It On the Boogie.”
