Scene: The Cadet Nurse Corps with Betty Potts King, my mom-in-law lower left, and comrades in 1944. Veterans Day, November 11, celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans. The Cadet Corps was established on June 15, 1943 to ensure the country had enough nurses to care for its citizens at home and abroad during World War ll.

An unprecedented collection of his most celebrated images, from stunning fashion photography to iconic celebrity portraits. Scene: Summer city. Black, white, and denim always here. White is still tight. High-contrast, textures, patterns, and a touch of color. Crisp cotton, shear, mesh, fringe, and metal extras. Khaki and blue. A trending color scene was coral pink. Daydreamers, summer fun, stripes, plaids, and checks. A few more days and summer closes her shades on September 22 for the fall equinox. This coming weekend is the official last weekend.
Equinox is derived from the Latin words aeguus, which means equal, and nox, the word for night. The equinox occurs twice a year, spring and fall, when both the northern and southern hemispheres receive equal rays of sunlight. There are also two solstices that signal the change of seasons in the summer and winter.
Scene and Heard: One last tour celebrating summer. Milky Chance, a German folk duo with reggae and electronic music influences, sings and performs Flashed Junk Mind.
Scene: The National September 11 Memorial, a forest of trees with two square pools. The two pools are located on the original footprints of the Twin Towers, each is an acre in size. A tribute of remembrance and honors the 2,507 civilians, 72 law enforcement officers, 343 firefighters, and 55 military personnel who perished on that day. And, the six civilians from the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
